About the Symposium:
Biotechnology is a field where technology advances rapidly. For this reason, it is important for public research organizations and enterprises to protect the innovation that they generate with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), which will provide a granting monopoly rights for a certain period of time to their owners. The symposium will focus on basic Intellectual property mechanisms followed in biotechnology with certain landmark cases and rulings. The session will also focus on technology transfer processes followed in biotechnology.
